Residents living on the North Shore of the Lake of the Ozarks will soon have a new fire station. Lake Ozark Fire Chief Mark Amsinger says Station Three on Welsh Road has been demolished and work is starting on a new building.
Amsinger says this is part of a five point three million dollar bond issue that was passed by voters in 2012.
Amsinger says because of an increase of population in this area there is a need for a building that can house fire fighters.
Amsinger says having a new station will be a benefit to all of the residents in this area.
Amsinger says the goal is to get crews housed in the new station to cut down response times on the North Shore
