The Lake Ozark Board of Aldermen looking to add 2 storm sirens to its City for emergency situations approved a proposal from US Bank for a lease purchase program for the two sirens. The total cost for the two sirens is $39,022. The Lake Ozark Fire Protection District will provide $5,500 grant funds directly towards the project and the fire district will also provide the locations for the first two sirens. The sirens will be located at the main fire station on the bagnell dam strip, across from McDonalds and the other will be located at the fire station on Welsh Road. Lake Ozark FPD is currently in the process of trying to upgrade much of its fire equipment and its north shore location. They have re-issued a fire bond that will be voted on by voters in miller and Camden counties Aug. 7th.
