The Lake Ozark Fire Protection District is holding a pair of informational meetings to discuss their proposed levy increase with voters. They’re asking for a 30-cent increase in the election August 7th. The money will be used to provide additional funding for the department’s ambulance service, primarily for equipment and vehicle upgrades. Anyone with questions or concerns about the levy can talk them over with fire department officials at meetings planned for July 31st and August 1st. The first meeting will be held at Mount Carmel Baptist Church, with the second meeting planned for the POA Community Center on Horseshoe Bend Parkway. Both meetings will run two hours long, from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
