It’s official; the new Police Chief in Lake Ozark will be Gary Launderville. At Tuesday’s Board of Aldermen meeting, Mayor Johnnie Franzeskos along with members of the board approved Lauderville’s appointment allowing him to take over where former Police Chief Mark Maples left off. Maples had announced earlier this year his plans to retire for personal business. Launderville comes from the Iowa area where he served in the Sheriff’s Department for more than 30 years.
Additionally board members approved the appointments of Todd Painter who assumed the role of Alderman of the Ward 3 district and Tim Haden who will be the new Code Enforcement Officer. Todd will remain in the board position until elections in April of next year.
