A local municipality is focused on reducing energy costs while, at the same time, helping the environment. The Lake Ozark Board of Aldermen voted to join the Missouri PACE Program on Tuesday. The program is for municipalities and counties to helps finance the replacement of outdated, low-efficiency heating, cooling, and water systems for commercial property owners through private funds repaid through annual property assessments. The program also allows for 100% financing for projects so payments can be made through those annual assessments instead of setting up expensive payment plans. Because of state statute, as of right now, the program is NOT available for residential property owners.
