Efforts are being put forth by the city of Lake Ozark to minimize the negative impact of wireless cell towers. At last night’s board of alderman meeting an ordinance was discussed that would amend the municipal code in order to address changes in state laws. These changes would insure that structures are built to code and are consistent with zoning and proper land use requirements. The ordinance is being put forth to minimize the impact of cell towers including innovative camouflaging techniques, provide better service for citizens as well as appropriate locations of communication infrastructures. The proposed ordinance is set to be voted on at the next board meeting.
