On December 1st of this year, the new Fair Labor Standards were set to go into effect across the country. That had the City of Lake Ozark scrambling to change their current ordinance code to bring their employees’ salaries into compliance. City Administrator Dave Van Dee says they’re not the only ones.
During the Lake Ozark Board of Aldermen Meeting, they changed two employees to an hourly wage instead of salary. Earlier this week, a federal judge from Texas blocked the new standards, putting them at a standstill.
