A Lake Ozark man who apparently had too much to drink is now facing charges after allegedly assaulting a police officer. When Lake Ozark police attempted to perform a field sobriety test on David Kay shortly after midnight Tuesday morning, they say he refused to comply and even struck one of the officers twice. He had to be shackled and placed in the back of the cruiser, where he allegedly proceeded to kick the roof on his way to the Miller County jail. Kay is charged with DWI with a prior offense, resisting arrest, and assault on a law enforcement officer. His bond was set at $5,000.
