Shootings involving police officers are becoming a very unfortunate occurrence on a regular basis nationwide. It seems like every week another officer is shot while in the line of duty. Lake Ozark Chief Gary Launderville spoke about the issue during this week’s Board of Aldermen meeting.
Chief Launderville says he is coming up with a list of things he would like to see approved by the board to help his officers feel safer while on the job. Among the things he would like to see, he has mentioned body cameras. He also says that they will be applying for a grant that has recently opened up that would help fund those cameras.
