Each year, police are required to go through 24 hours of POST training. The Lake Ozark Police traveled all across the state, including Jefferson City, Columbia, and Springfield. Now, thanks to an approval by the Board of Aldermen, they’ll be able to stay a little closer to home. Chief Gary Launderville says they’ll be taking those courses through Missouri State University.
The classes will be taken in Camdenton following a final agreement being reached for MSU to use the old Camdenton Firehouse.
