The Lake Ozark Police will have a presence at a local church under an agreement submitted to the Board of Aldermen. Lake Ozark Christian Church has requested a police presence at their services for at least the next six months. The request came after an individual was arrested for issuing perceived threats toward the church, along with two others in Eldon and Jefferson City. The agreement states that, in return for the service, the city shall be paid $40 per hour per officer. The independent contractor agreement as drafted will be in effect from March 15th of this year until February 28th of 2021, unless lawfully terminated by either party.
