“We are going to take every threat and every comment seriously….and we’re going to look into them.”
That’s the words of Lake Ozark Police Chief Gary Launderville, who says his department was ready, working in conjunction with the Osage School District, after social media threats were reported Thursday.
The threats were non-specific originating, apparently, from Arizona, which indicated that there would be violence at school districts, nationwide.
Launderville also says, just because there was no violence reported, doesn’t mean the guard will be let down anytime soon…“Safety of the kids, safety of the schools you know….it’s important, so we put a plan together. We have officers in every building and we have increase vigilance. And this gave us the chance to be in the school more too, so we’re turning this into a positive.”
