On January 1st, Constitutional Carry will go into effect in Missouri. This has many cities throughout the state having to change their local ordinances to be in compliance. When the Lake Ozark Board of Aldermen met earlier this week, that was one of the items on their agenda. Under the new ordinance, they will allow anyone to conceal a firearm without a concealed carry permit. However, the new ordinance also states that for anyone to open carry a firearm within the city limits, they must have a concealed carry permit. The ordinance received its first reading with the second reading on the agenda for their next meeting.
