On January 1st, Constitutional Carry will go into effect across the state. That has many municipalities having to change their ordinances to conform to the new law. During their Board of Aldermen Meeting Tuesday night, Lake Ozark did just that. Under the new ordinance, which will go into effect at the same time as the state law, a conceal carry permit will NOT be required to carry concealed. The state law also prohibits municipalities from passing regulations on open carry for those who have a conceal carry permit. Although it doesn’t specify a permit will be required to open carry, the city ordinance will.
