Lake Regional Health System is encouraging patients to have conversations with their pharmacists to help them make better decisions about their health care. It’s part of a celebration of American Pharmacists Month, which runs through the end of October. They say that pharmacists are more than just dispensaries who distribute medicine like vending machines. The conversations they have and the effort they make to get to know their patients helps both parties to understand the ailments that affect them and determine the best ways to treat them. Lake Regional employs 21 pharmacists and 24 pharmacy techs throughout their inpatient and retail pharmacies.
