The Osage Beach Fire District is the recipient of a donation that will allow them to expand and improve their training. The 16-acre tract of land next to fire station 2 off of KK will be used for live-fire training. The department hopes to construct a training tower on the site. Eventually they’ll be able to use the property for training in natural cover fires, search and rescue training, hose advancement, high angle rescue, roof and ladder operations, and more. The property was donated by Matt Duenke and his family, who have been long-time supporters of the fire district. They’ve previously donated trucks and buildings as well.
