Laurie BOA Votes NO on Purchase of Indian Rock Golf Course

In a board meeting last night Mayor Herb Keck addressed the offer presented at the June 14th Alderman meeting to purchase the Indian Rock Golf Course. The board had promised to consider the offer and yesterday voted NO on the proposition. The course was being sold by Community Bank who is now the owner. The current listing price was $1.6 million. Indian Rock is owned by Community Bank in Sunrise Beach which purchased the 18-hole course at the Morgan County Courthouse last spring after a notice placed the course for sale when a promissory note on the property was unpaid after it was called due.
