Laurie Board to Vote on Amended Budget; New City Clerk Selected

Laurie has to vote again on their budget for the year. According to wording on the ordinance scheduled to be heard at Tuesday’s meeting, unforeseen revenues and expenses have rendered the current budget inaccurate. They’ll hold first and second readings on the amended budget Tuesday night at 6pm. Also at that meeting, the board will formally introduce their new City Clerk. Denise Pozniak has been hired to fill that role. Ron Clarke has been serving as interim clerk following the resignation of Vanessa Hebrank last September.
