A local food pantry is asking the public for help for the first time in its 17 years of existence. The End Time Joseph Program at the Opened Door Christian Fellowship Church in Laurie has seen its food levels drop to 20 percent of its normal levels. With the recent floods in the state and the tornado in Joplin, food bank supplies from Columbia have been unable to keep up with the local demand. The Opened Door Christian Fellowship Church is looking for donations of money to purchase food or for non-perishable food items. Call 374-6323 for information on how to donate.
