After many years of negotiation, the Laurie board of alderman has approved an ordinance accepting the existing roadways in the Ozark Meadows subdivision which will now be maintained and repaired by the city. However, streets in the Wellington Woods subdivision were not adopted by the city because they were constructed out of compliance after planning and zoning was established. In other business, the board approved appropriating $140,000 for street repairs and maintenance and the mayor requested funds for the purpose conducting a sewer and water rate study with the intention of looking at ways to possibly reduce rates. The board tabled a decision pending further information.
