Residents in Laurie will soon have their post office back.

Officials with the Laurie Terrace Mall say they have signed an agreement for a multi-year lease to operate a Post Office at the north end of the mall.

The post office will be an unmanned station, but it will provide boxes and other postal services.

The postal service closed the Laurie Branch back in 2017, moving all operations to the Gravois Mills location.

At this time there is no official opening date, however work on the new post office is expected to begin immediately.

Bolivar Charities, LLC, owner of the Laurie Terrace Mall, is pleased to announce that a multi-year lease has been signed with the United States Postal Service for a post office to be located at the north end of the mall.  The office will be an unmanned station that provides post office boxes and other postal services common to an unmanned station. Build-out of the facility is expected to commence imminently. Additional details regarding services to be provided in addition to post office boxes, and the time of opening, will be announced through the Lake West Chamber as more details become available.
