A proposed use tax in the City of Laurie has been rejected again by voters. There were 35 yes votes and 38 no in Tuesday’s special election. Turnout was about 12 percent, according to the Morgan County Clerk’s Office. Laurie Mayor Herb Keck estimates the city will lose over $3,000 in needed revenue as a result of the outcome of yesterday’s voting.
