Laurie voters will be asked to approve a bond issue to fund a waterline expansion project. The issue on the ballot in April calls for issuing $1.6 million in bonds to expand the waterline along State Road O from the Laurie Care Center to the city limits. It is NOT a tax and will result in no increased sales or property taxes for residents. The project includes larger lines, hydrants, and a pressure reduction station. The board of aldermen will be discussing talking points for the bond again when they meet next week.
