A lawsuit has been filed by a Camdenton R3 School Teacher on the district’s handling of a janitor who allegedly exposed himself to a student in a bathroom back in 2018.
According to court documents, Camdenton Middle School teacher Kirk Richey is claiming that Superintendent of Schools Dr. Tim Hadfield and Assistant Superintendent Ryan Neal were aware of the janitor’s alleged actions and instead of firing him, he was moved to Oak Ridge Intermediate school.
The janitor in question, Jesse DeVore, is currently facing faces four counts of Sexual Misconduct Involving A Child Under 15 and allegations of masturbating in front of a student at Oak Ridge shortly after starting work there.
The district says they cannot comment on pending litigation and are planning to fight the case in court.
