The Lebanon High School will soon have a new mural which is aiming to bring diversity and inclusion into the community.
The mural is being painted by students in the art department, with the help of a St. Louis artist who’s known for his work on diversity images.
Cbabi Bayoc tells KY 3 TV some of his paintings include a boy dancing a ballet or a girl playing football.
Lebanon Art Teacher Elizabeth Barker says Bayoc agreed to come down and help the students design and create the mural, which is a once in a lifetime opportunity for these kids.
It was made possible with grant funding from the Missouri Arts Council and it’s expected to be finished by Friday this week.
