A man who confessed to endangering his child and causing her death has his 20-year sentence suspended, and is given probation instead.

Kyle Nickel, a 29-year-old Lebanon man, admitted to authorities in 2018 that he threw his infant daughter onto a couch, causing her to fracture her skull and later die.

Courts sentenced Nickle to 20 years in prison for first degree endangering the welfare of a child, but earlier this week, Nickel’s sentence was suspended and he was given 5-years of supervised probation, along with 60 days of shock time in the Laclede county jail instead.
