Christmas Break is underway for students across the Lake Region, but one school district is making decisions that will help move their district forward.
The Lebanon R-3 Board of Education voted last week to approve a resolution to purchase “The Mall”, which will become a new building housing a learning center for pre-school and high school classes in the future.
The new 100,000 square foot building being added to the district’s facilities is slated to be called the Robert W. Plaster Center for Student Success.
Officials with the district say The Plaster family are committed to donating $1 million for the purchase of The Mall, and the remaining $3.5 million will be paid in a lease-purchase agreement.
