Officials with the Lebanon school district say they are feeling the strain of the COVID 19 pandemic financially.
The district says they’ve taken a substantial financial hit in their funding, and they’re bracing for even more cuts to come.
Back in May, the state told school districts they would be withholding more than $1 million dollars of funding for area schools, which equates to over $700,000 for the Lebanon R 3 District.
Officials say even with the reduce funding, they’re still expending more funds than usual to handle the PPE in the school and online learning systems.
The district did request $900,000 in federal CARES act funds from Laclede County.
