The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a Lebanon man was shot in the head during a shootout between a Saint Joseph man and State Troopers near Interstate 70 and U-S 65, about 3:45pm on Wednesday. Police say the truck driver was treated at a Columbia hospital and released yesterday afternoon. They did not release his name. Two other drivers along that stretch were hit by bullets and were treated and released. Troopers were pursuing 28 year old Ty Arnold, who was wanted for questioning in his wife’s homicide. He fired out of his car window, while officers were chasing him. After his vehicle was disabled by spike strips, and he exchanged more gunfire with troopers, he died from a self inflicted gunshot wound.
