Leonard Wilson has been sentenced to 15 years in the department of corrections for sex crimes. That’s according to Miller County Prosecuting Attorney Ben Winfrey who says 37-year-old Leonard Wayne Wilson was handed the sentences this week in Miller County Circuit Court on charges of failure to register as a sex offender-third offense and second-degree sodomy. Wilson was originally required to register as a sex offender after pleading guilty in March, 2016, in a Pulaski County case where he received a suspended 7-year sentence and probation on a felonious restraint charge and a 120-day term on a sexual abuse charge. Since then, it had been alleged that Wilson failed to register at least three times. The newest charges, in Miller County, also included one count of sodomy for having deviate sexual intercourse when he touched the genitals of an 18-year-old with a learning disability. The failure to register-third offense requires a minimum of two years in prison with the Miller County sentences to be served concurrently.
