Licking Man Gunned Down by State Trooper

49-year-old Darryl Eye of Licking was shot and killed by a Missouri Highway Patrol trooper yesterday. Eye was taken down with a rifle shot after he got out of his car and pointed a handgun in the direction of a Highway Patrol member. Eye was wanted in Laclede and Dallas counties, and was suspected of stealing two vehicles, including the 2004 Chevrolet pickup he was driving when he fled from authorities.
