A fire causing damage at a Camdenton business is considered suspicious and under investigation by local and state fire marshal officials. Mid-County Fire Chief Scott Frandsen says that the call to the Surf’s Up Laundromat, on North Business-5, was received around 7:30 Thursday morning. Upon arrival, light smoke was discovered coming from the roof and significant smoke inside the building. It took about five minutes to bring the blaze located in the back of the building under control. The interior of the building suffered smoke and water damage while the office suffered heavy fire damage. There was nobody in the business at the time and no injuries were reported.
