The Lincoln Board of Aldermen recently replaced a battery inside their first alert siren system at a cost of over $500 dollars. Sources say this was the north siren which was at age and needed the battery replaced. Also the board authorized a repair to the city’s water line and lift station floats. The Police department also informed the board that they have purchased two used highway patrol vehicles which they will fit for the city’s officers. Finally the board went into executive session for the discussion on a real estate project and adopted the 2015 budget.
