Linn Creek’s police department is back to three officers. Two officers who had been suspended by the Board of Aldermen have been reinstated following a closed session meeting. The board had placed Chief Greg Berry and Sgt. Dave Stark on paid administrative leave in late April after learning of a series of alleged incidents involving the two. Mayor Jeff Davis says that upon investigating the allegations, the board heard directly from the two and voted to reinstate them to fulltime with the full confidence of the city. Below is the text of the statement released by Linn Creek Mayor Jeff Davis:
* Official Press Release*
During a closed session on April 23rd, the Board of the City of Linn Creek was made aware of a series of alleged incidents involving members of the Linn Creek Police Department. At that time, the Board elected to place officers Chief Greg Berry and Sgt. David Stark on paid administrative leave pending a further investigation and second closed session for discussion.
On May 3rd, the Board heard directly from the officers and after that session elected to reinstate all members of the Linn Creek Police Department. At no time were any officers terminated from their positions and all officers are back to full-time work with the full confidence of the City. Please forward any inquiries on this matter to the Mayor.
