Local COVID-19 Cases Steady, On the Rise Statewide (as of April 12, 2020, 2:00pm)

While the numbers of confirmed COVID-19 cases remain steady in the lake area, the same numbers continue to rise statewide. Here in the lake area, the total number of cases stands at 30…26 of those in Camden County with one death reported. Elsewhere there were three cases reported in Benton County and one in Morgan County. Statewide, the numbers are up to 4,160 confirmed cases with 110 deaths…92 of them being victims 60-years-old and older. The health department also reports 200 cases have been travel-related, 215 contact-related, 9 with no known contact and more than 3,700 still being looked at. Gender-wise, 1,926 men have contracted the virus in Missouri compared to 2,180 women.
