Volunteers from both the public and private sectors continue to work on a plan to respond to potentially dangerous situations in the lake area. The Camden County Local Emergency Planning Committee met Friday to continue their discussion on a hazmat response plan for the area drafted by the EMA.
Ann Mott is the Assistant Director for the Camden County EMA and is also part of the LEPC. She says the county is well-prepared, but they can always fine tune the details.
After the LEPC finishes their review and suggestions for the plan, it will be presented to local first responders for additional input.
