A Sunrise Beach man is hospitalized after being thrown from his All Terrain Vehicle Sunday afternoon.
The incident happened about 1:45. Forty-nine-year old Leonard Combrevis was riding his 2005 Yamaha ATV following another ATV down Asbury Lane just north of Lake Road F-12. The second ATV slowed and Combrevis lost control in an attempt to avoid the collision. The Yamaha ATV rolled, ejecting the Sunrise Beach man.
Combrevis was not wearing safety equipment and suffered moderate injuries. He was flown by the Staff for Life helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia.
