A Sunrise Beach business owner is facing federal weapons possession charges.
Fifty-five year old Jimmy Duane Davis, an owner of the Eclypse strip club in Sunrise Beach, was charged in U.S. Western District Court last Thursday after a large gun seizure at his home back August 19th. The home is located next door to the strip club.
Inside they found a gun safe containing seventeen rifles, seven shotguns, and six handguns. A handgun was also found on top of the safe and ammunition was found around the house.
Davis has prior felony convictions for the sale of marijuana and meth and meth trafficking. Federal law says felons cannot be in possession of firearms.
The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, as well as the Internal Revenue Service.
