A survey of the lake area by MOBroadbandNow shows that residents want better access to the net. Damon Porter is the director of the statewide initiative to bring faster internet speeds. Porter says local residents had a high response rate.
MOBroadbandNow hopes to make high speed internet available to 95% of all of Missouri residents by 2014. Porter says lake residents have work to do.
The survey showed that 25% of residents in Camden, Miller, Morgan, and Laclede counties still use dial-up to access the net.
