A local semi truck driver has just been arrested on drug charges. 52 year old Marty Cantrell was stopped by a Camden County Street Crimes Deputy for exceeding the posted speed limit Tuesday afternoon. After speaking to Cantrell, the deputy became suspicious and conducted a search warrant seizing ½ grams of crack cocaine from the cab of the semi. Cantrell has been charged with a class c felony of possession of a controlled substance, class a misdemeanor of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, class b misdemeanor with operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner and class c misdemeanor of exceeded posted speed limit by 16 to 19 mph. Cantrell is currently being held in the Camden County Adult Detention Facility on a $2,000 cash only bond.
