Records management within the Lake Ozark Police Department got a much-needed boost Tuesday night. After hearing from Chief Gary Launderville, the board of aldermen voted to switch the department over from an in-house server to a hosted server while, at the same time, adding what’s known as the CAD module. Chief Launderville says the switch is pretty much a no-brainer when it comes to efficiency.
The one-time cost moving to the hosted server is $6,700 and another $3,000 for the CAD module which is covered by the department’s budget. Future upgrades and maintenance are included in the start-up costs of the switch.
