The Lake of the Ozarks regional economic development council held its annual meeting on Thursday. It was announced that the 2014 business partner of the year award was given to Old Kinderhook which recently opened an outdoor ice skating rink and a new 84 room lodge and conference center will open this spring. Joni Walden was recognized as the 2014 business person of the year. Walden recently rallied businesses west of the grand glaize bridge with the creation of the passport to the parkway event to increase business activity in that area. And Bob Beultmann with “bassing bob dot com” which is an informational resource for bass fishing was recognized as the emerging enterprise of the year. The board also named new officers for 2015 during their meeting.
