Two truckloads of paint, stain and primer, along with pestcides, oil, electronics, and other household hazardous waste, was collected at the recent Lake of the Ozarks Watershed Alliance Hazardous Waste Reclamation Day in the Camdenton High School parking lot. Organizers say LOWA collected 26,000 pounds of hazardous waste from 481 households during the April 30th event. Habitat for Humanity will use the paint and stains for their upcoming home building projects.
