Lake of the Ozarks Watershed Alliance (LOWA) will have a public meeting at Tan Tara in the Crystal Ballroom Monday, June 18 from 6:30 – 8:15 PM. MO Dept. of Conservation Fisheries Biologist Greg Stoner will give a summary of the 5-year E. coli study that was recently completed in Oct. 2011. Due to the elevated levels of E-coli on both public beaches in recent years, the water quality has been more of a concern. One of the theories of how E-coli levels are elevated recently are believed to have come from the geese waste particles mixing in with the water, but it has not been definitively proven.
