Governor Mike Parson is joining with other leaders from neighboring states to call for better flood prevention along the Missouri River. Lt. Governor Mike Kehoe says the Army Corps of Engineers needs to place a bigger emphasis on how they manage the river system.
Kehoe says river management is just one item that the administration is working on to help provide future security for the state’s farmers.
This year’s floods are making recovery difficult for the farming community, which is coming off a damaging 2018 as a result of drought and international tariffs.
