According to one Camden County Commissioner, tax revenues for 2015 are basically flat. Second District Camden County Commissioner Cliff Luber sent K-R-M-S (93-Five Rocks) News information that shows for 2015, in sales tax numbers in the county were only up by three-point-eight-percent, translating to an increase of only 156-thousand-dollars for the year. In 2015, commissioners voted to give a one-dollar an hour raise to all county employees, the first in several years. The raise amounted to 640-thousand-dollars per year, something Luber has said in the past was uncalled for since there was not enough money. Both Presiding Commissioner Greg Hasty and First District Commissioner Bev Thomas have stated the raise was not approved until after they had spoken with department heads about the increased wages.
