Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer is throwing his support behind a bill that would expedite the expansion of an oil pipeline from Alberta, Canada to the United States. The North American Made Energy Security, or NAMES Act, would force a final decision from the President on the Keystone XL pipeline. Executive Order 13337 says the President is considering a presidential permit for the pipleine but the application has been held up in the U.S. State Department for three years. The NAMES Act would force a decision on the Executive Order by November 1st of this year.
