Macks Creek is canceling its contract with Camden County for maintenance of its roads. The county took over responsibility for repair and routine maintenance of the 4.3 miles of roadway within the city limits only a few weeks ago, at a cost of $961 per month. Now, the city has purchased a road grader for 4000 and hired a driver to operate it and plans to go back to taking care of its own roads. The city contracted with the county because residents had been complaining about the poor condition of the roads
