Magruder Limestone will ask the state in November if they can quarry off of Woodriver Road.
The limestone company, the cities of Osage Beach and Lake Ozark, and residents of Woodriver Road have been in a legal battle over the 52 acres of land next to the cities’ joint sewer treatment plant for the last several years. The Lake Sun reports the Missouri Department of Natural Resources Land Reclamation Commission will hear a resubmitted permit proposal from the limestone company on November the 17th.
Osage Beach Mayor Penny Lyons said back on the 16th of September that a law change made this past legislative session will work in the limestone company’s favor.
Representative Todd Richardson of Butler County made the rule change in the 2011 session.
