A manhunt Monday afternoon in the area of Oak Bend Road and Blue Springs Road in Miller County causes havoc to the end of the school day for the Osage District. Reports indicate Captain Louie Gregoire, with the Sheriff’s Department, confirmed the manhunt started after a traffic stop when the driver wanted on three felony warrants fled on foot. The nearby Highway-42 campus for School of the Osage was put on lockdown and three buses, 15, 24 and 32, were kept from delivering kids back to their homes in that region. In the meantime, K-9’s and the Highway Patrol helicopter assisted in the effort which was eventually suspended for the night. The suspect is reportedly known to law enforcement.
